Tony Warren is an internationally recognized portrait artist, known for his technical mastery and the psychological depth of his work. In 2012, the Nordic Museum in Stockholm acquired both the symbolic objects used during the creation of Devotion and the original charcoal drawing that served as its foundation. This acquisition constitutes a rare and clear recognition of artistic work as contemporary cultural heritage. By placing the objects and the preparatory drawing in its permanent collection, the Nordic Museum has secured the work’s place in Sweden’s modern history.
